Terms of use

1. What Ustah is

Ustah is a platform connecting clients (in Kosovo or abroad) with independent tradespeople (“Ustahs”). Ustah does not perform work itself and is not a party to the contract between client and Ustah.

Ustahs are independent professionals, responsible for the quality, timing and legality of their work.

2. Account

Clients may register with a phone number (SMS code) or with an email address. Ustahs must register with a verified phone number: it is their working tool and the main protection against fake accounts. You are responsible for keeping access to your account. Minimum age: 18.

You can delete your account anytime from Settings › Security. Data is deleted according to the privacy policy.

3. For clients — free

Search, contact, requests, quotes and bookings are free for clients. Ustah takes no commission from the client.

A request that receives no answer closes by itself after seven days; if an offer is still waiting for your answer, it stays open for up to thirty days. You can send it again at any time. You choose the Ustah yourself; published reviews must be truthful and based on real work.

4. For Ustahs — subscription

Visibility on the platform requires the Ustah Pro subscription: 19,85 €/month, no commitment, with the free trial shown in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. After that date and a seven-day grace period, the profile no longer appears in search and receives no new requests; the account, conversations and ongoing jobs remain.

Promotion (7 days) is an optional, separately paid service. There is no commission on the value of jobs.

The Ustah warrants that profile information (identity, trades, photos) is accurate and their own. Identity verification uses an ID document; Ustah may refuse or remove the “Verified” badge.

5. Quotes and payment

A quote sent by an Ustah (price + timeline) becomes a contract between client and Ustah when the client accepts it. That contract is theirs; Ustah is not a party to it.

Payment is made directly between the client and the Ustah, by whatever means they choose. Ustah does not hold, transfer or touch this money, and takes no percentage of the value of the work.

Ustah therefore cannot hold, release or refund a payment. In a dispute about the work, the team can help the two sides talk, but settling it is for them.

6. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Clients pay Ustah nothing, so there is nothing for us to refund. The price of the work is paid directly to the Ustah, and refunding it is a matter between the client and the Ustah.

Ustah Pro subscription: cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the started month is not refunded and no further payment is taken after that date.

Promotion (7 days): not refundable once it has started.

The fourteen days right of withdrawal belongs to consumers. The subscription and the promotion are bought by tradespeople acting in the course of their business and are therefore not covered by it; and clients buy no service from Ustah at all.

7. Conduct and content

Prohibited: false information, spam, harassment, discrimination, illegal content.

Ustah may hide content, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Liability

Ustah provides the platform “as is”. Ustah is not liable for the quality of Ustahs’ work, damages, delays or losses arising from the client–Ustah relationship, except where the law provides otherwise.

Ustah’s liability is limited to the amounts paid by the user to Ustah in the last 12 months.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits Ustah’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its fault, for intent or gross negligence, nor the rights granted to a consumer by the mandatory law of their country of residence.

9. Changes and law

We may change these terms with 15 days’ notice in the app. The law of the Republic of Kosovo applies and the courts of Prishtina have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, this choice does not deprive you of any of the mandatory protections of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your own domicile.
